AR-Augmented Reality-ARize

   Hello everyone!

   We have learned virtual reality before and we discuss how can we use it but how about augmented reality? I think most of you heard it before, let me explain clearly.

   AR is an interactive experience of a real-world environment where the objects in the real world are integrated by computer-generated world. AR provides us:
A combination of real and virtual worlds
Real-time interaction
Accurate 3D registration of virtual and real objects.

    There are two types of AR; markerless and marked-based. Markerless means that you you do not need any object to create AR. Do you remember the game pokemon go? It is the best example of markerless AR. Marked based means that you need some objects such as books, cards etc.

  We must again answer the question how can we use it in language learning. A few explanation can be made.
  • This kind of atractive  systems increase students motivation, interest and participation rate.
  • Supporting learning with visuals makes it permanent. Through AR you can use visuals, videos, real life objects.
  • Creativity and imagination are the elements AR helps to enhance.

   I can recommend you some apps;
    • Augment - 3D Augmented Reality
    • ARize
    • UniteAR

   I create an AR using ARize. If you want to listen William Blake’s The Tyger all you need to do is download the app and scan the picture below. Enjoy it :)
